Transforming Lives with an Ox Plough in Moroto, Uganda

 With heartfelt thanks to “Help a Dream” and its generous donors, I received a grant of 350,000 Ugx in April 2025 that has changed my life and my community forever. This support allowed me to purchase an ox plough — a simple tool that has become a powerful solution for many here in Moroto. Families often struggle to pay 100,000 Ugx per acre for tractor cultivation, leaving their land unworked and dreams unfulfilled. With the ox plough, I now offer the same service for just 60,000 Ugx per acre. This affordable rate has opened doors for farmers who could not previously afford to cultivate, bringing new hope to our community. The results came quickly. In just one week after purchasing the plough, I earned 180,000 Ugx by serving local farmers and now in a month my net is about 500,000 Ugx since its rainy seasonand many are cultivating at the moment. This success didn’t stop with me—I employed two more people to help meet the demand, creating jobs and strengthening our local economy. What started as a personal dream has grown into a shared opportunity, lifting others as it lifts me. My family feels this change deeply. My wife and son, who once faced uncertainty, now work beside me in the garden with joy.
