The way we are

Some of us don’t like paying taxes but still want the best of public services, free health care and education for our children.

Some of us are confused and feel we have no identity. Searching for it can lead to hate of others. Perhaps we should all have the identity of human beings.

Some of us are obliged to act strangely so others can believe they are in control, of us and places.

Some of us see themselves as members of Robin Hood’s band of merry men, without caring about the mental harm their actions cause to others.

Some of us see themselves as persistent vandals always ready to follow the lead given to them.

Some people see themselves as part of a global network. For the rest of us however, we have to be put into very small boxes.

Some people look out for wayward disruptive individuals so they can use them for their own purposes.

Some people think it a great idea to weaponise inconvenience in every aspect of our daily lives.

One of our favourite songs is Barbra Streisand’s The Way We Were. The trouble is though, unless we are all prepared to do our bit, the way it’s been for too long will never change.
