Welcome to my farm. My name is Dorothy Atim. I am a young farmer, to say I must say I’m a start-up. I am very new in this business.

This was my dream before – I dreamt of having a poultry farm, but I didn’t have capital, I didn’t know how to start.

I was done with school but there was nothing to do, there were no jobs. So I thought of starting my poultry farm but I couldn’t start.

A friend of mine introduced me to To Help A Dream and I want to be thankful to To Help A Dream for aiding me and helping me with a grant. A grant means support. It gave me some funds to start up the farm and I want to say thank you so much to To Help a Dream for supporting my dream of having a poultry farm.

I want to say I’ve progressed too much. I have learned a lot in this business that has been new. A lot has been breaking me because there are a lot of challenges I’ve been facing since I’m a new farmer.

I have lost some birds because of not having some equipment to use, not having some medication because I don’t have support, I don’t have funds so I struggle with little, but I believe with time I’ll be able to pick up. Thank you To Help a Dream, thank you for helping me start up this.
